Position Details

• Position: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Contract Length: 7 Weeks (47 Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• Weekends: None (may work weekends only if required by the facility)
• Holidays: Must work every other major holiday
• On-Call: None

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts LCSW License (required at submission)
• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Minimum 2 years of Social Work experience
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Travel experience must be documented on the resume (first-time travelers accepted)
• Must obtain CANS Certification prior to start
• Experience with older adults and/or psychiatric patients preferred

• Geriatric Psychiatry (preferred)
• Hospital-based Social Work

Required Certifications

• Massachusetts LCSW License
• CANS Certification (required before start)
• MSW Degree

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care for adult and geriatric psychiatric patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop treatment and discharge plans.
• Document patient care in Epic.
• Provide crisis intervention and patient/family support.

• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: One week (includes Epic class)
• Floating: None
• Charge Capability: Highly preferred
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Block Scheduling: Not permitted
• Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles (local rate is $8/hour less than travel rate)
• Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season
• Assignment Length: 7 weeks (candidate must acknowledge and agree before submission)
• Submission Requirements:
  • Updated resume with 2+ years of Social Work experience
  • Travel experience documented on resume
  • MSW degree
  • Active MA LCSW license at submission
  • Candidate must agree to obtain CANS certification prior to start
