🔥 DAY-SHIFT CARDIAC CATH LAB RN CONTRACT – CALIFORNIA TERTIARY REFERRAL CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) in Sacramento, California. Operating within a high-acuity, chest pain accredited 3-room Cath Lab processing over 3,000 cases annually, this position features a structured 3x12 daytime schedule (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM / 7am - 7:30pm). If you are a skilled interventional cardiac nurse with advanced competencies in structural heart (TAVR/MitraClip), mechanical circulatory support (Impella/IABP), and complex interventional devices, this assignment is built for you!

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $3,163.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,651.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $36.00/hr (24 regular hours)
  • Daily Overtime Rate: $54.00/hr (12 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call & Weekend Requirements: Mandatory standby call is 1 night per week and up to every other weekend. Call rate is $7.00/hr ($125.00/hr call-back rate).
  • Clinical Scope & High-Acuity Procedures: Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases. Direct experience required with advanced modalities: Rotablator, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
  • EMR & Documentation: Cerner EMR paired with Merge Hemodynamics for Cath Lab procedural documentation.
  • Scrubs & Safety: Hospital-provided scrubs. Staffing agency provides radiation monitoring badge.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Licensure: Active California State Board of Registered Nursing License.
  • Certifications Required:
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • NIHSS Stroke Certification
  • Employment Eligibility Restriction: Candidates cannot have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity Health) within the past 12 months. (Candidates employed PRN through outside travel agencies are eligible).

Copy of Government Issued Driver's License to validate exact legal name spelling (no middle initials or middle names permitted on profile). 📝 Pre-Contract Exam Mandatory Rule: Dysrhythmia (DYS) Exam through UNA is required prior to signing the contract (must be completed within 24–48 hours of assignment; pass/fail with 2 attempts). Relias Dysrhythmia exam within the last 12 months is accepted if previously taken.
