👶 Unit & Role Overview
As a Registered Nurse – Mom/Baby, you will provide compassionate, family-centered care to postpartum mothers and newborns. You will play a vital role in recovery, education, and ensuring a safe transition home.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for postpartum patients and newborns
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide health education & breastfeeding support
- Monitor maternal recovery and newborn well-being
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation (per hospital & regulatory standards)
- Support patient and family education for discharge readiness
- May float to similar units based on hospital needs
- Participate in on-call rotation if required

✅ Requirements
Education:
- ASN required | BSN preferred
Licensure:
- Active RN License (Colorado or Compact)
Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP (preferred/required based on unit)
Additional Certifications (Preferred):
- ACLS / PALS (as applicable)
Experience:
- Prior Mom/Baby / Postpartum experience preferred
- Strong skills in patient education, newborn care & maternal recovery
