⚡ AUTO-OFFER NIGHT-SHIFT LABOR & DELIVERY RN CONTRACT – LOS ANGELES METRO

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Torrance, California. Operating within a high-volume perinatal center averaging 200–300 births monthly, this position features a 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 - 07:00 / 7pm - 7am). 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,750.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,700.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr (24 regular hours)
  • Daily Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr (12 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 - 07:00 / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Block scheduling is at manager discretion.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly (facility may call off once per 2-week pay period).
  • On-Call Requirements: NO MANDATORY ON-CALL REQUIRED!
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend coverage expectation.
  • Clinical Scope & Ratios: Strict 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios. Circulate and recover C-sections, assist with high-risk labor (pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, TOLAC/VBAC), manage PPH protocols (Bakri/JADA), and place internal monitoring devices (FSE and IUPC).
  • Floating Requirements: Required to float to Mother/Baby (Postpartum) unit as needed. May float to nearby sister facility (LCM Medical Center San Pedro).
  • EMR Charting System: Epic EMR (Hardstop required).
  • Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed!

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical L&D RN experience is required. First-time travelers accepted!
  • Licensure: Active California State Board of Registered Nursing License in-hand.
  • Certifications Required:
    • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM accepted in lieu of Advanced AWHONN)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • LA Fire Card required within 30 days of hire.
