Job Title: RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Location: Bronx, NY - 10467
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Days | 3x12 Hours
Hours/week: 36 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR for a travel contract in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both circulating and scrubbing for complex cardiovascular surgical procedures in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub during cardiovascular surgeries.
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrumentation throughout procedures.
- Accurately document patient care using the EPIC EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Experience with both circulating and scrub roles
- Experience with the following cardiac surgical procedures:
- CABG
- EVH
- Chest Closure
- Thoracoscopy
- Wedge Resection
- Aortic Valve Procedures
- Mitral Valve Procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume cardiovascular operating room.
- Experience using EPIC charting system.
