Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Schedule: 4x10-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Call Required: Yes
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) to join a leading cardiac team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and operating advanced imaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Scrub and circulate for Cath Lab procedures.
- Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and specialized equipment.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Perform post-procedure hemostasis using manual compression and vascular closure devices.
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
- Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call coverage with a 30-minute response time.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience.
- Experience scrubbing and operating X-ray/fluoroscopy during cardiac procedures.
- Hands-on Impella device experience (Required).
- ARRT (R) certification.
- Valid Ohio Radiologic License.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification (AHA) or willingness to obtain within one year.
- Experience with peripheral vascular and structural heart procedures.
- Previous experience in a high-volume Cath Lab.
