Description

Title: Radiology Tech
Location: Charlotte North Carolina
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8hr Evening Shift - 40
Shift Information: 1300-2100

Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation: No
  • On call: No
  • Holiday Expectations: Closed on holidays
  • RTO approvals: to go through manager
  • Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0800-1630/1700
  • Schedule cycle: see above

Clinical Interviewing: No

On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

Weekend Rotation: None

Holiday Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: Could float to some of the other CSA Campuses. Could see RFAs at other campuses, but can be taught there o Floating will be very rare. If candidate is not comfortable floating, management is typically able to have staff members float

About Facility:

  • Neurosurgery and Neurology office

General Information: Rooms: Large clinic with several rooms, 1 x-ray room, 1 injection room
Census: Average patients/day: – Average 60 imaging patients (around 30 of these will be injections)
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Mostly spine/head – scoliosis series, shunt series (can teach if needed), neck, C, T, and L spines.
  • Outpatient imaging and injections. No sedation
  • Will see adults and pediatric patients

Required Licensure & Certifications: ARRT, BLS

Skills required:

  • Experience with above patient types
  • Need to be open to other office/admin tasks – making CDs, etc.
  • Need to be experienced with c-arm
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment

Support within the Department:

  • RN
  • CNA
  • Typically, 3 Techs for imaging
  • Front desk staff
  • 1 provider in the injection suite, 10-12 providers at a time at the clinic

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • PACS: Intellaspace

Unit specific equipment: X-ray is Shimadzu, C-arm is Client OEC

Floating: If yes, where and how often: Travelers float first:

  • Could float to some of the other CSA Campuses. Could see RFAs at other campuses, but can be taught there

Orientation (facility and unit): About 1 week of orientation
