🏥 Unit Overview

This role supports both Pre-Op and PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) functions. You will care for patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safe preparation, recovery, and monitoring during critical transitions.

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and patient preparation
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitoring
• Assess airway, vital signs, and patient response post-procedure
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management
• Monitor for complications and respond to emergencies
• Deliver patient education and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital standards
• May float within perioperative services as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation (weeknights & weekends)

✅ Requirements

Education:

• ASN required | BSN preferred

Licensure:

Experience:

• Minimum 1+ year of PACU experience required
• Must have both Pre-Op and PACU experience
• Strong skills in post-anesthesia recovery and patient monitoring
