Travel RN Emergency 

Alexandria, LA

Nights

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care independently, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols while monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
  • Educate patients and their families, addressing psychological, emotional, and social needs with cultural sensitivity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, delegate appropriately, and contribute to the ongoing development of your professional skills.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient histories, care plans, and treatment responses.
  • Respond effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating leadership and adaptability.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Current RN license in your state of employment or a valid compact license.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ACLS certification from the AHA.
  • PALS certification from the AHA.
  • De-Escalation certification.
  • Current TNCC certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Experience in emergency or critical care nursing.
  • Knowledge of trauma care, neurological emergencies, and cardiovascular management.
  • Previous exposure to high-acuity, adult patient populations.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience in an acute or emergency setting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work 36 or 48 hours per week, with every other weekend commitment.
  • Ability to adapt to shifts from 7PM to 7AM.
  • Must attend organizational orientation within the first 30 days.
  • No floating required; work assignments are consistent.
  • Physical ability to handle high patient acuity and urgent situations.
  • Security on-site 24/7 for safety.
