Description
**Orientation is weekly, on Mondays – Local Rate: ;Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel**
All Travelers must have REQUIRED certifications prior to start.
• Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): RN
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and Level 1 NBN
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: See shift details
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 24 - Every Other/As Needed
• Call Requirements: Rotate Call during low census
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP and STABLE
• Years of Experience: 2+
• Float Requirements: To task on other units during high volume when census is low on L&D.

• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Ratios: per AWHONN Staffing Standards
• EHR: Meditech and Centricity
Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Primary L&D nurse on nights - independent.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Post-partum and Level 1 Newborn nursery experience.
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Labor and Delivery, Antepartum and Postpartum.
• Personality Fit: Women in community prefer Women nurses, Professional.
• Required Education: Certification/licensure required to work as an RN in KY.

• Scrub Color: any color (look professional).

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
