Description

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.
Prepare, monitor, and recover patients before and after procedures.
Administer medications and moderate sedation as ordered.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Assist physicians during IR procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
Perform patient assessments and document care accurately.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Minimum Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) RN experience.
Current AHA BLS Certification.
Current AHA ACLS Certification.
Ability to successfully pass the required Telemetry Competency Exam.
Documented professional development activities.
Strong critical care assessment and cardiac monitoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Charge Nurse experience.
Knowledge of Critical Paths.
