🚨 Travel Stepdown/Cardiac Neuro RN | Days | 13-Week Contract

Join a highly respected Cardiac Neuro Stepdown team at a teaching hospital known for its outstanding leadership and low staff turnover!

📍 Location: Evansville, IN (Midtown Campus)
🩺 Specialty: Stepdown / Cardiac Neuro RN
🕒 Shift: Days | 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

✅ Active Compact RN License
✅ AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
✅ Recent EPIC experience required
2 years of Stepdown experience + 1 travel assignment OR 5 years of Stepdown experience (no travel required)
✅ Must pass telemetry interpretation testing

Required Skills:

  • Telemetry & 12-lead EKG interpretation
  • Post-cardiac cath care (TR Bands/Femoral access)
  • Titrate Cardizem, Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Insulin & Heparin drips
  • Strong NIHSS and neurological assessments
  • Sepsis management
  • Chest tube care
  • Peripheral IV insertion

Patient Population:

  • STEMI/NSTEMI
  • Post-cardiac cath, stents, pacemakers, ICDs & ablations
  • CVA, seizures, possible TBI
  • Sepsis
  • DKA
  • Carotid endarterectomy patients

  • 36 guaranteed hours
  • Every other holiday & 3 weekends every 6 weeks
  • Float within your skill set to nearby affiliated campuses when needed

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
