Description
ACUTE PHARMACIST POSITION
- BLS AHA required
- NE License required
- At least 1 year experience working in a hospital pharmacy required
1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
- Critical Access hospital with ED, Swing beds, and small outpatient/oncology infusion center.
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
- EHR- Cerner
- ADS- Omnicell
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
- IV compounding, 1 year hospital experience required, Chemo familiarity, but previous experience not required.
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
- BLS
- NE license
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
- 40 hrs preferred, weekend Saturday shift rotation also preferred- but current staff is willing to be flexible.
- Pharmacy hours are 7am-5pm M-F Sa 8am-12pm. Closed Sundays and 6 holidays/year.

7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
- 25 beds avg census ~12. ED and swing beds.
8 Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
- NE RPH:Tech ratio per regulation
9. Dress Code:
- Scrubs or professional. Close toed shoes.
10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
- IV /Haz compounding, EHR, Omnicell etc are handled by Pharmacy Director and staff
