Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based therapy services to students. In this role, you'll evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with educators and families, and support students in achieving their IEP goals within the educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate students and determine eligibility for physical therapy services.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and PT interventions.
- Write PT goals and monitor student progress for IEPs.
- Participate in IEP, MET, parent, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Provide therapy services using a classroom integration model.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IEP requirements.
- Complete Medicaid billing and required documentation.
- Participate in staff trainings and support positive school-wide behavior initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Knowledge of IEPs and school-based therapy services.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
