Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist (CVOR Tech)

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days – 4x10 Hours (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
 

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Surgical Tech experience
• At least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience required (Hard Stop)
• Previous travel experience required (First-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Current NBSTSA Certification (required and must be in hand)
• Active Indiana license required (pending license not accepted)
• Experience with CV cases, including heart and lung transplants
• Experience in a Teaching Hospital and Community Hospital preferred
• Local candidates accepted
• Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Description:

• Scrub and assist in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures, including heart and lung transplants.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field while anticipating surgeon needs throughout procedures.
• Assist with cardiovascular, thoracic, and endovascular procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, VAD implantation, EVAR, and related cases.
• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies while ensuring compliance with sterile technique and patient safety standards.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, including one full weekend every six weeks and approximately 110 hours of call.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and the surgical team to provide high-quality perioperative care.
• Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays.
• Hospital-provided scrubs, Cerner charting, and free parking available.
