Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients across various medical and surgical units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert assessment, planning, and intervention. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set that includes experience with EMR/EHR systems, critical care procedures, and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and ophthalmology-related care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
• Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management for acute pain and chronic conditions.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner to document patient care activities precisely and maintain comprehensive medical records.
• Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, suturing, ventilator management, and ostomy care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans involving specialties like cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease, trauma medicine, and geriatrics.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging support such as CT scans.

Required Qualifications:

• Min 2 years of RN Med Surg experience required
• NY State license
• AHA - BLS
