Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am 
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks with the possibility of extension)

Position Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Med Surg setting. The Travel LPN will provide high-quality patient care, assist with assessments, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes. The ideal candidate should be comfortable adapting quickly to new environments, facility protocols, and diverse patient care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Med Surg environment.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and other nursing procedures as applicable.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements:

• Active NY State, unrestricted certification/licensure as LPN
• 2 years of experience required as LPN Med Surg in acute care
• BLS from AHA.
• COVID card or Medical / Religious Exemption.
