Job Description

UC Irvine – Los Alamitos is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The technologist will perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, maintain radiation safety standards, start and maintain IVs, and provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient imaging environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Active California Nuclear Medicine License required.
BLS (AHA) Certification required.
ARRT (N) certification preferred.
NMTCB certification preferred.
PET certification/experience required.
Experience with adult patient population preferred.
Experience using GE equipment preferred.
Experience performing PET scans, including FDG whole body and skull-to-thigh imaging.

Proficient in:

Starting and maintaining IVs.

Storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials.

Facility: UC Irvine – Los Alamitos. Location: Los Alamitos, CA. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. 1-hour meal break included each shift. No call required. No weekend requirements.
