Description
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 36 hours/week (3×12s)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Floating: First to float to Mother/Baby unit
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Unit Information
- Unit Size: 8 L&D rooms (expandable to 10)
- Monthly Deliveries: Approximately 65–75
- NICU: Level III NICU on-site
- Patient Population:
- High-risk pregnancies
- Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH)
- Preeclampsia
- Substance use/addiction
- Preterm labor
- Magnesium sulfate patients
- Baby-Friendly Hospital: Yes
- Locked Unit: Yes
Required Certifications
- BLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- COVID Vaccine (required)
Skills Preferred
- L&D experience with high-risk obstetrics
- Ability to scrub for C-sections is a plus (not mandatory)
