Job Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse - Nights (Chesapeake Regional Medical Center - Chesapeake, VA)

Job Description: Secure an auto-offer travel nursing assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA! We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for night shifts starting August 24, 2026, with contract options extending through the winter season. Contract Details:

  • Start Date: August 24, 2026.
  • Schedule: Night shifts (3x12s or 4x12s available) | Every other weekend requirement.
  • Location: Chesapeake Regional Medical Center (Chesapeake, VA).
  • Radius Rule: Strictly enforces a 50-mile radius rule (locals not eligible).

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 years of critical care experience preferred; mandatory Epic EMR proficiency.
  • Licensure & Certifications: Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand with zero license/background hits; active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Submission Rules: Requires Qualivis Coversheet, NURSYS report, and all RTO included at submittal.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
