Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse – 10-Bed Unit

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) with recent immediate post-open heart recovery experience. Candidates must be able to care for post-operative open heart patients independently from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care to CVICU and cardiac patients, including post-open heart, PCI, pacemaker, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and other high-acuity cases.
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilator support, cardiac telemetry, and advanced critical care equipment.
  • Deliver patient-centered care from admission through discharge while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Serve as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Montana RN license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Recent Critical Care/CVICU experience with immediate post-open heart recovery.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and advanced critical care procedures.
