Description
Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments. Guaranteed hours do not include on-call hours worked.
Required Experience
Candidates must have recent experience in:
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Kidney Transplant Surgery
Experience with both scrubbing and/or circulating is required in multiple specialties, including:
- General Surgery
- Robotics
- Transplants
- Orthopedics
- Neurosurgery
- Spine
- ENT (primarily Head & Neck)
- Gynecology
- Urology
- Organ Procurement
- Trauma Surgery
Schedule
- Combination of 2 x 8-hour shifts and 2 x 12-hour shifts
- Day/Evening rotating schedule
- 40 hours per week
Call Requirements
- Up to two weekends per month, either working scheduled shifts or taking call.
- Weekend/Holiday call shifts:
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- 30-minute response time required while on call.
- One weekly short-call shift:
- 3:00 AM - 7:00 AM, or
- 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Unit Details
OR West consists of 10 operating rooms specializing in Level I Trauma and complex inpatient surgical care. The team supports a broad range of procedures, including:
- Bariatric Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ENT
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Spine Surgery
- Major Plastic Reconstruction
- Robotic Surgery
- Kidney and Liver Transplants
