Description
🧪 Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist – Blood Bank
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 10:30 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 5×8s | 40 hrs/week guaranteed
⭐ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Blood Bank experience
- ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS certification – REQUIRED
- Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist only
- ❌ Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) not accepted
- Clinical laboratory experience with specimen testing and analysis
- Clinic laboratory experience preferred
📅 Schedule & Holidays
- Every 3rd weekend
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
- Plus 1 minor holiday:
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- New Year's Eve
📍 Important
- 13-week assignment
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- 40 guaranteed hours/week
📌 Best fit: Certified MT/MLS with 2+ years of strong Blood Bank experience. This position specifically requires an MT/MLS, so candidates with only an MLT background will not be considered.
