🚨 Travel Emergency Room (ER) RN | Days | 13-Week Contract
Join a busy Emergency Department providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients at a regional medical center.
📍 Location: Ottumwa, IA
🏥 Facility: Ottumwa Regional Health Center
🩺 Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) RN
☀️ Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks (Start: September 6, 2026)
Requirements:
✅ 2+ years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care setting
✅ Active Iowa RN License (or eligible to work in Iowa)
✅ AHA BLS, ACLS & TNCC required
✅ Experience with MediTech preferred
✅ Previous travel experience is a plus
Unit Highlights:
- 17-bed Emergency Department
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- Approximately 40 patient visits per day
- Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
- 36 or 48 guaranteed hours available (must request at submission)

Onboarding Requirements:
- Iowa SING background check (Criminal & Child Abuse)
- Mandatory Reporter Certifications (Adult & Child)
- 10-panel drug screen (including opiates)
- Current titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) within the last 12 months
- Monday or Tuesday start dates available

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
