🚨 Travel IMU / Stepdown RN | 13-Week Contract

Join an Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) caring for high-acuity cardiac, vascular, and medical patients in a supportive team environment.

📅 Contract: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

✅ Recent Stepdown/IMU experience
✅ Active RN License
✅ AHA BLS & ACLS required
✅ Experience with telemetry and titratable drips

Unit Highlights:

• 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit
• Excellent 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Dedicated Charge Nurse (typically without a patient assignment)
• One Patient Care Technician (PCT) per shift
• Telemetry monitoring on all patients
• RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• No call required
• Floating as needed within skill set

Patient Population:

• Post-Myocardial Infarction (MI) with sheath pulls
• Acute heart disease/cardiac patients
• Post-operative vascular surgery patients
• GI Bleeds
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)

Clinical Skills Required:

• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, including:
  • Nitroglycerin
  • Neosynephrine (Neo)
  • Cardene (Nicardipine)
• Telemetry interpretation
• Care of BiPAP and CPAP patients
• Strong cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills

Unit Environment:
