Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) RN for an ASAP travel assignment in Apple Valley, CA. This is an Auto Offer (AO) opportunity for qualified candidates.
Strong surgical experience is essential, and candidates must be comfortable with weekend/holiday call and floating between surgical locations as needed.
Position Details
- Specialty: OR RN
- Start Date: ASAP
- Experience: 2+ years required – HARD STOP
- 3 years preferred
- Strong experience with the surgical procedures outlined by the unit preferred
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Locals: Accepted
- Charting: Epic
- On-Call: Required
- Weekend Requirement: At least every other weekend; may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
- Holiday Call: Required
- Block Scheduling: At manager's discretion
- Pending License: Not accepted
Call Requirement
- Approximately 70–90 hours of call over a 6-week period
- Call hours will be split evenly among caregivers
- Weekend/Holiday Call: Required
- Call Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Floating Requirement
The RN may be asked to float between:
- Main Operating Room
- Outpatient Surgery Center
Skills
All required skills are expected. Strong candidates may still be considered with some skill call-outs, subject to screening.
Epic experience is highly preferred.
Certifications
- BLS/BCLS – Required
- ACLS – Preferred
Scheduling
- Weekend commitment is required
- Minimum: Every other weekend
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be considered
- Block scheduling may be considered at manager discretion
