• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring observation, telemetry monitoring, and short-term acute care.
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify, interpret, and respond to arrhythmias and clinical changes.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, cardiac status, neurological status, and fluid balance.
• Care for patients with diagnoses including chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, COPD, diabetes, stroke/TIA, syncope, sepsis, and other medical-surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, discharge instructions, and lifestyle modifications.
• Respond rapidly to patient deterioration, initiate emergency interventions, and participate in Rapid Response and Code Blue events.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, fall prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Active CA State RN License

AHA BLS

AHA ACLS

NIHSS

MAB Certification
