• Shift, M-F 08:00-16:30, No call
• Approximately 20 patients treated per day
• Any color scrubs as dress code

Qualifications:

• Min. 3 years of experience required
• ARRT required
• Experience on Varian True Beam, Aria, AlignRT required
• Looking for a positive, energetic candidate that can assimilate quickly with the team.

MAIN FUNCTION:

• The Radiation Therapist delivers professional radiation therapy services, including executing daily radiation therapy treatments, scheduling patients, assisting with simulation of patients, maintaining accurate patient treatment records and participating in the quality assurance/quality control activities of the department.  The Radiation Therapist works in collaboration with the oncology services team of the Falck Cancer Center (FCC) to assure that the delivery of patient care is consistent with the Arnot Ogden and FCC policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Direct Patient Care

1. Provides radiation therapy treatment delivery services to cure or improve the quality of life of patients by accurately delivering a prescribed course of treatment.
2. Implements and delivers a planned course of external beam, SBRT/VMAT and conventional treatments.
3. Administers treatment accurately and safely; monitor and report unexpected effects, reactions, therapeutic responses and incompatibilities.
4. Participates effectively in a therapeutic team approach to provide optimum radiation therapy treatments.
5. Evaluates and assess daily, the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of each patient to treatment.
6. Documents details of treatment procedures accurately, billing codes and maintain daily treatment records updating as often as required.
7. Constructs and/or prepares and utilizes immobilization devices, beam directional devices and the like which facilitates treatment delivery.
8. Provides patient education in order to maximize patient understanding with the plan of care and provide family education as needed.
9. Provides age appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients.
