Description

Step Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Day Shift

Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:30 | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week
Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) rotations required.
On-Call Protocol: No on-call duties specified.
Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract (08/31/2026 – 11/29/2026)
Local Rate Policy: Local clinicians receive a reduced rate.
Placement & Floating Protocol: Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest operational need (PCU Step Down or Med-Surg Telemetry) based on skill level. May be required to float onsite within skill set or to sister facilities within a 40-mile radius as needed.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of recent PCU Step Down or Med-Surg Telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
Travel Experience: Prior travel nursing assignment experience is required.
Skills Assessment Mandate: Completed RN Step Down (PCU) Specialty Exam and Skills Checklist required at time of submittal.
EMR Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR is required.
Licensure & Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
- Active Wisconsin State RN License or active eNLC Compact RN License.
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
