Travel Echo Technologist Opportunity – Registered Echo Tech
Position Details
- Position: Echo Technologist
- Department: Clinic / Cath Lab (possible hospital coverage as needed)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, varied hours
- On-Call Requirement: Every 3 weeks shared with 2 other technologists
- Shift Type: Full-Time
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including:
- Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain exam processes, and address patient concerns
- Position patients safely to obtain optimal cardiac imaging results
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture accurate images of cardiac structures
- Review images for quality and identify potential abnormalities or pathology
- Collaborate with cardiologists and providers to support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, images, and patient information
- Perform equipment checks, maintenance, and quality assurance activities
- Follow infection control standards and patient safety protocols
- Participate in continuing education to remain current with echocardiography practices and technology
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or related field preferred
- Recent clinical experience as an Echo Technologist required
- Experience performing adult echocardiography required
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cardiologists and clinical teams
- Strong attention to detail, patient care skills, and imaging accuracy
Required Certifications & Credentials
- ARDMS Registered (RDCS) or CCI Registered (RCS) required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
