Milwaukie, OR

About

A Portland suburb on the eastern banks of the Willamette River, Milwaukie offers the benefits of a big city and the comforts of a small town with a pioneering spirit. Established in the mid-1800s as a shipping and agricultural settlement, today, it's known as the "Dogwood City of the West," after the vibrant spring blossoms that dot the landscape. The town is also home to some of Oregon's most iconic and prominent employers, including Dark Horse Comics and Bob's Red Mill. Milwaukie has a quaint main street with outstanding shopping, taprooms and wine bars, while its picturesque riverfront parks are popular for launching kayaks. The Milwaukie Sunday Farmers’ Market is a favorite gathering place where locals and visitors mingle while picking up fresh produce and prepared foods.
