MRI Technologist - Quick Job Summary
Start Date: 8/31/2026
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams of the brain, spine, body, and extremities for patients of all ages.
- Adjust scanning parameters based on patient anatomy and clinical indications.
- Perform advanced MRI procedures including:
- Diffusion studies
- MR Angiography (MRA)
- MIP imaging
- 3D image reconstruction and reformats
- Operate MRI equipment, select appropriate coils, and ensure image quality.
- Identify gross pathology and modify T1/T2 parameters as needed.
- Archive, retrieve, and review images for technical accuracy.
- Conduct MRI safety screenings for all patients and visitors entering the MRI suite.
- Perform quality control checks and document equipment issues.
- Start/remove IVs for contrast studies and respond appropriately to contrast reactions.
- Operate IV contrast power injector.
- Communicate findings and pertinent information with radiologists and care teams.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT registration (as required by state/facility).
- CPR certification (if applicable).
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
- Computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of MRI experience.
- Experience with:
- Contrast-enhanced MRI studies
- MRI safety screening
- Advanced imaging techniques
- 3D reconstruction and post-processing
