Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) team on a per diem basis. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute medical conditions and post-operative needs while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in the EMR.
• Care for pre-operative, post-operative, and medically complex patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, HIPAA, and hospital safety standards.
• Participate in shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred.
• Previous hospital acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
