Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Diabetes Clinic, providing specialized nursing care focused on diabetes management and education. The RN will perform patient consultations, assessments, evaluations, and care coordination for individuals, families, and the community. This role also supports the Primary Care Clinic and requires excellent clinical judgment, patient education, and triage skills.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch
• No weekends or holidays

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
• Current Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification (must have been obtained within the last 3 years of the start date)
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the specialty (more experience may be required for some candidates)
• Clinic experience is mandatory
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Strong triage experience, including knowledge of the Emergency Severity Index (ESI)

Housing Information:

• Shared housing may be available through the facility based on availability.
• No family members or pets are permitted.
• Housing arrangements are the responsibility of the contractor.

Orientation:

• Orientation is held every other Monday.
• Travelers who miss the compliance deadline will be deferred to the next scheduled orientation.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in diabetes management and patient education
• Comfortable working in both Diabetes and Primary Care Clinic settings
• Excellent communication, assessment, and care coordination skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
