Description
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Adult Outpatient Rehab | Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult and adolescent patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Perform comprehensive speech and swallowing assessments, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and swallowing safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Required Documents / Certifications
- Active New Mexico Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience
- Adult outpatient rehabilitation experience (required)
- MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) experience (required)
