Description
MRI Technologist | Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
- Prepare, screen, and position patients for MRI procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the EMR/PACS.
- Follow MRI safety standards, infection control practices, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.
- Ensure proper maintenance and quality control of MRI equipment.
Required Documents / Certifications
- Active ARRT (MR) Certification or equivalent MRI Technologist credential (as required by the facility/state)
- Active State License (if required)
- BLS Certification
- MRI Technologist experience
- Ability to work afternoon shifts (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
