Description
Job Title: Travel LDRP Registered Nurse - Nights (Southwest Medical Center - Liberal, KS)
Job Description: Take on an exciting travel nursing assignment in a busy maternal care unit at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS! We are seeking an experienced LDRP / L&D Registered Nurse for night shifts (19:00–07:00) backed by 36 guaranteed weekly hours starting August 31, 2026. Join a high-volume community care team delivering around 900 babies annually. Apply today!
Contract Details:
- Start Date: August 31, 2026.
- Duration: 13-week contract.
- Schedule: Night shifts (3x12s) | Every other weekend required | No call.
- Location: Southwest Medical Center (Liberal, KS).
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of L&D/LDRP experience required (first-time travelers welcome); willingness to float occasionally to Med-Surg, ICU, or ER as needed.
- Licensure & Certifications: Active Kansas or compact RN license at submittal; active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- Compliance: 80-mile radius rule enforced (locals accepted at a lower rate); all RTO required upfront.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
