Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown | New Haven, CT
📍 Location: New Haven, CT
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
🕒 Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown RN experience
- Cardiac experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Connecticut RN License (pending license accepted; application must be submitted before submission)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Willingness to float as needed
- Every other weekend required
Clinical Skills:
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Heparin protocols
- Cardiac drips (non-titrating)
- Post-cardiac catheterization care
- Post-myocardial infarction (MI) care
- Pacemaker monitoring and management
- TR Band management
- Peripheral IV and central line care
- Rapid Response/Code Team participation
- Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
Unit Highlights:
- Heart & Vascular Cardiac Stepdown Unit
- 30-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1:4 (Nights)
- Level I Trauma Center
- Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
Additional Information:
- Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not accepted
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
