Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatric ICU | Travel Contract
 

Washington, DC
Level I Pediatric Trauma Center | Teaching & Magnet Hospital
Position: Pediatric RRT
Shift: Days | 3x12s | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Travel Experience: Required
Locals Accepted at Travel Rate
 

Key Requirements

  • Pediatric ICU-trained RRT required
  • Experience in PICU, NICU, CICU, or Pediatric ED/Trauma
  • Minimum 1 year experience required
  • 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
  • DC RRT License required — pending accepted (processing may take 6–8 weeks)
  • RRT, BLS & PALS required before start
  • NRP preferred

Schedule

  • 3 or 4 shifts/week
  • 36 guaranteed hours/week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call
  • No block scheduling
  • May float within scope only; no sister-facility floating

Clinical Skills

  • PICU / NICU / Pediatric Critical Care
  • Emergency Department / Trauma
  • Ventilator management: BiPAP, CPAP, HFOV
  • Mechanical ventilation weaning & troubleshooting
  • ABG interpretation
  • HFNC & oxygen therapy
  • Tracheostomy care/management
  • Extubation & airway management
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Nebulizer treatments
  • Nitric Oxide
  • Pulmonary hygiene
  • Pediatric/neonatal CPAP & BiPAP
