Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatric ICU | Travel Contract
Washington, DC
Level I Pediatric Trauma Center | Teaching & Magnet Hospital
Position: Pediatric RRT
Shift: Days | 3x12s | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Travel Experience: Required
Locals Accepted at Travel Rate
Key Requirements
- Pediatric ICU-trained RRT required
- Experience in PICU, NICU, CICU, or Pediatric ED/Trauma
- Minimum 1 year experience required
- 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
- DC RRT License required — pending accepted (processing may take 6–8 weeks)
- RRT, BLS & PALS required before start
- NRP preferred
Schedule
- 3 or 4 shifts/week
- 36 guaranteed hours/week
- Every other weekend required
- No call
- No block scheduling
- May float within scope only; no sister-facility floating

- Ventilator management: BiPAP, CPAP, HFOV
- Mechanical ventilation weaning & troubleshooting
- ABG interpretation
- HFNC & oxygen therapy
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Extubation & airway management
- Bronchoscopy
- Nebulizer treatments
- Nitric Oxide
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Pediatric/neonatal CPAP & BiPAP
