Labor & Delivery RN – Fort Defiance, AZ
Location: Fort Defiance, AZ
Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Compensation
Pay: $49.50/hour on W2
Weekly Stipend: $1,246
Estimated Weekly Gross: $3,028
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA or ALSO
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced FHM required
- RNC-EFM may be accepted in place of AWHONN FHM
- STABLE certification
- Active RN license required
- Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed
Position Details
- L&D and Postpartum care
- Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) environment
- Approximately 40 deliveries per month
- Approximately 6 C-sections per month
- May occasionally serve as Charge Nurse after completing charge nurse training
- Travelers may be required to float to other departments where they are qualified
