🏥 Position

• Specialty: EP Lab RN
• Shift: Day, 4×10s
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Experience: 2 years required

📞 Call Requirements

Travelers participate in:

• 1 week of weekday call every 2 months
  • 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM after the regular shift
• 1 weekend of call every 2 months
  • 24-hour weekend coverage
• 1–2 holidays on call per year
• Call-ins are usually for pacemaker cases
• Most call-ins last about 2 hours
• Call volume is generally low

• Day ratio: Listed as 4:1
• No floating required
• Patient population: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics

The RN should be comfortable with:

• Cardiac ablation
• Cardiac mapping
• Pacemaker insertion
• Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction
• AICD insertion/programming
• Arrhythmia induction
• Cardioversion
• Conduction studies
• LAA closure / Watchman
• Cardiac implant closure devices
• Baseline measurements
• Sheath removal/monitoring
• Vascular closure systems
• Tilt-table studies

📑 License & Education

For RNs:

• Must have a valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at submission
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program

📚 References

1. At least 1 manager/director/formal leader
2. Second can be a Charge RN

🚨 Ohio Fingerprinting – VERY IMPORTANT

This is a Tier 4 Ohio compliance position.

• Fingerprints must be completed ASAP after signing the contract
• Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday before the start date
• No exceptions
• Candidates living within driving distance of Ohio must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location
• Candidates far from Ohio will receive a fingerprinting packet by mail
• Delays or failure to cooperate with credentialing can result in start-date push or cancellation

🗓️ RTO

• RTO must be provided at submission
• Any requested time off must be built into the contract
• Screen candidates for vacation immediately after booking because fingerprinting delays could push the start date.

⚠️ Employment Restrictions

• Former employees can take a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6+ months
• Current employees cannot be hired as travelers at Ohio State University hospital locations
• Candidate should be submitted to only one location
