Shift Time: AM Shift, will be discussed during the interview

Working Hours: 40 hrs/week, 10 hours a day

Job Overview:
The Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse (Pediatric OR RN) provides specialized perioperative nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical procedures. The Pediatric OR RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate surgical care for pediatric patients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care for pediatric patients.
  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for pediatric procedures.
  • Verify patient identity, surgical site, consent forms, and procedure details.
  • Serve as a circulating nurse during pediatric surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
  • Monitor patients throughout the surgical process and respond to changes in condition.
  • Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transfer before and after surgery.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of recent Operating Room experience
  • AZ or compact State RN License
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • PALS Certification (AHA)
