Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend & Holiday

Mandatory Qualifications for this Job

Active Wisconsin RN License
Current NIHSS Certification
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Minimum experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedic, or Neurology nursing
Education verification required

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients
Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely
Monitor patients and report changes promptly
Perform neurological assessments and stroke care
Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
Promote patient safety and quality care
Participate in performance improvement activities
Apply critical thinking and escalate concerns appropriately
Support continuity of care across units

This is a 13-week Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg opportunity in Janesville, Wisconsin, offering night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts. Candidates should have recent Ortho/Neuro or Med-Surg nursing experience, an active Wisconsin RN license, and current NIHSS and CPR/BLS certifications. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required, and Travel RNs may be asked to float to other units as needed.
