🚨 Urgent MedSurg/ED RN – Night Shift

🩺 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MedSurg/ED Registered Nurse (RN) for an urgent night-shift opportunity. The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing care across inpatient MedSurg, observation, swing-bed, ER, and outpatient infusion settings.

This is a versatile role in a smaller clinical environment, with approximately 6 MedSurg beds and 3 ER beds.

📋 Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to MedSurg and ED patients.
• Care for patients in inpatient, observation, and swing-bed settings.
• Provide emergency care and stabilization for ER patients.
• Assist with outpatient infusion services.
• Perform assessments, medication administration, treatments, and ongoing monitoring.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate appropriately with providers.
• Provide post-operative care, including orthopedic patients.
• Document patient care accurately using Athena EMR.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, multifaceted clinical environment.

🏥 Common Diagnoses

Experience caring for patients with:

• CHF
• COPD
• Pneumonia
• UTI / Altered Mental Status (AMS)
• Failure to Thrive
• Post-operative/orthopedic conditions

✅ Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS – AHA
• ACLS – AHA
• PALS – AHA
• TNCC – AHA
• AHA Procedural Sedation Module
• MedSurg and/or ED experience strongly preferred
• Outpatient infusion experience preferred
• Athena EMR experience preferred
