Travel RN – Med/Surg

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s | Every other weekend required
Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5

Position Requirements

• 2+ years of recent, consecutive Med/Surg experience in an acute-care/hospital setting
• Previous travel experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS & ACLS required
• Medication scanning experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Active state RN license required; pending licenses not accepted

Floating & Call

• Must be willing to float between Ontario, Bucyrus, and Galion MS/Telemetry units if needed to maintain hours.
• Call is required.
• If placed on call, traveler must be able to return to the facility within 1 hour when called in.

Scheduling

• Every other weekend required
• Minimal/no RTO preferred
• All RTO must be submitted upfront
• No time off for major holidays will be accepted
• Must be flexible with scheduling and floating requirements

Additional Requirements

• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• Two recent supervisory references required, placed directly after work history
• Employment history will be carefully reviewed; candidates with prior terminations, contract cancellations, or other employment red flags should not be submitted.
• Traveler expectations document must be reviewed with the candidate before offer and agreement documented at submission.

Modules

• HealthStream modules required
• Up to 8 hours, non-billable
• Completed before start and vary by profession.
