Description

Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy

Location: Springfield, MO
Shift: Evenings, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (Thursday–Wednesday; may vary)
Contract: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

Verify and check medications using EPIC
Prepare and verify IV medications, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, etc.
Check and restock crash carts and medication kits
Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy
Oversee and redirect pharmacy technician workflow as needed
Ensure medications are prepared and dispensed accurately
Work onsite in the central pharmacy

Requirements

Missouri Pharmacist License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
1 year of experience preferred; New Grads may be considered
EPIC experience preferred
Hospital/acute care pharmacy experience is helpful
Must be comfortable working in a central pharmacy environment
Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required Nov. 1–Apr. 1; declinations not accepted
