Description
Pharmacist – Acute Care Pharmacy
Location: Springfield, MO
Shift: Evenings, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (Thursday–Wednesday; may vary)
Contract: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Verify and check medications using EPIC
- Prepare and verify IV medications, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, etc.
- Check and restock crash carts and medication kits
- Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy
- Oversee and redirect pharmacy technician workflow as needed
- Ensure medications are prepared and dispensed accurately
- Work onsite in the central pharmacy
Requirements
- Missouri Pharmacist License – Required
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- 1 year of experience preferred; New Grads may be considered
- EPIC experience preferred
- Hospital/acute care pharmacy experience is helpful
- Must be comfortable working in a central pharmacy environment
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required Nov. 1–Apr. 1; declinations not accepted
