Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Falls Church, VA 22042

Shift: 12 Hours

Shift Options: 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM

Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a Level I Trauma Center. The RN will care for high-acuity patients and must have strong emergency department experience, including experience with stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients.
  • Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Care for patients with a wide range of emergency and acute conditions.
  • Provide care for stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide emergency interventions and assist during critical situations.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC.
  • Follow all emergency department safety, infection control, and patient care protocols.
  • May float to designated offsite emergency departments as needed.

Requirements:

 

  • Active Registered Nurse VA state license.
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience.
  • Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • NIHSS certification required.
  • TNCC certification required.
  • CPI certification required.
  • Strong Emergency Department experience required.
  • EPIC experience highly preferred.
