Radiation Therapist – Travel Contract

 Facility: FMC – Cancer Care Services
 Position: Radiation Therapist
 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
 Hours: 40 hours/week
 No weekends | No call

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiography with certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved program
• ARRT – Radiation Therapy certification required
• Ohio Radiation Therapist license preferred upon submission
• CPR certification required
• 1–2 years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
• TrueBeam/ARIA experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders
• Prepare and position patients for radiation treatment
• Verify patient identification, diagnosis, prescription, and treatment plan
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to unusual reactions
• Perform verification and port film exposures
• Document treatment plans, progress reports, and other required records
• Coordinate with physicians, physicists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate and support patients regarding treatment and potential side effects
• Follow hospital safety, infection control, and quality standards

Ideal Candidate

Radiation Therapist with ARRT Radiation Therapy certification, Ohio licensure, and experience in radiation therapy. Candidates with TrueBeam and ARIA experience are strongly preferred.

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
