Description
6 private beds.
• this unit is more of a high acuity step-down, low acuity ICU unit.
• This unit is the current COVID unit for the hospital.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Ratios 1 to 2.
• EMR- CPSI-Evident.
• Shifts- 7-7.
• Weekend Requirement- Every Other Weekend.
• Holidays- Travelers usually do not work holidays- will all depend on the schedule and perm staff availability.
• Scrub Color- Royal Blue.
• Will be expected to float to Tele-MedSurg unit.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
