Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Sitka, Alaska. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy while providing clinical consultation, medication counseling, and pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals.
This position requires strong independent judgment, excellent clinical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Position: Inpatient Pharmacist
Shift: Day shift 4x10 hours
Location: Sitka, AK
Facility: Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital
Contract: 13 Weeks
Pay rate: $91/Hour
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Alaska Pharmacist License – REQUIRED
- Pharm.D. degree required.
- Candidates licensed prior to 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree may be considered with 3 years of hospital and/or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
- ASHP-recognized pharmacy residency preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, medication therapy, and applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Strong computer and pharmacy software skills.
- Ability to accurately calculate oral and IV medication dosages and compound formulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
